Their story began unexpectedly during a quiet and serendipitous December evening of cards and drinks at Sabrina's parents' house. Little did Kent know when he accepted an offhand invitation from his coworker (Sabrina's dad's best friend, would you believe!), that he'd be meeting his wife. That spontaneous "yes" turned into an instant connection, and a few weeks after they went on their first date. From that night on, they’ve been inseparable.
Sabrina is originally from Naperville, while Kent grew up in Michigan. After graduating college, Kent moved to Naperville, which ultimately led him right to Sabrina’s parents’ house—and to Sabrina. Today, they’re happily back where it all began, having just purchased their first home together in Naperville.
As kismet would have it, Sabrina discovered Oak Park Jewelers on Instagram just as they were beginning the ring-search process. Although they had visited another jeweler beforehand, the couple says nothing compared to the comfort and confidence they felt working at OPJ.
Sabrina entered the process with her heart set on a solitaire emerald-cut diamond paired with an emerald-cut eternity band. And after exploring every possible option, that’s exactly what she chose. On the day Kent picked up the ring, Sabrina joked that she'd know exactly when he went to pick it up... little did she know, the ring was already safely in his pocket. Sammi also helped Kent custom design a necklace as his wedding gift to Sabrina, making the experience even more meaningful.

Kent and Sabrina were married on September 27, 2025 at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Their wedding day was everything they dreamed of—an iconic Chicago celebration focused on unforgettable experiences for family and friends. From a champagne parade to late-night Chicago-style hot dogs, it was truly the best day of their lives, shared with the people they love most.
